Iced Green Tea

This is a simple low-calorie recipe that leaves you refreshing, chilled and it lowers the risk of Alzheimer’s and diabetes. Green tea in pure form is one of the best home remedies to boost metabolism. The flavor of this recipe invigorates you as soon as you just sip it.

Ingredients:

  • Green Tea Bags – 6 to 8
  • Boiling water – 4 cups
  • Cold water – 2 cups
  • Artificial sweetener (non- caloric) – ½ cup

Procedure:

Pour boiling water into a saucepan over the tea bags and steep for about 5 minutes. Squeezing gently, remove tea bags from the water. Add sweetener to cold water and stir for 2 minutes until the sweetener dissolves. Let the tea come to room temperature and is now ready to serve.


Lemon Grass and Ginger Iced Tea

Lemon ginger tea health benefit are well known to all of us. With its subtle flavor lemon grass and ginger iced tea is a perfect drink for every tea lover. With low caffeine levels and antioxidants present in this tea makes you feel energized all day long.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Lemon Grass – 1 stalk
  • Fresh Ginger – 7 slices
  • Green Tea – 5 bags
  • Sugar – ½ cup

Procedure:

Rinse the lemon grass thoroughly, cut into 2-inch lengths and crush it with a large knife. Bring 2 cups of water, ginger, lemongrass and sugar to boil in a saucepan. Take off the pan from heat, add green tea bags and steep the tea for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags if you think the flavor is strong and let the tea cool for about 30 minutes. Pour the tea into a pitcher through a fine strainer. Cover the tea and keep it chilled until cold for at least 2 hours and divide the tea into four different ice-filled glasses.


Iced Lemon Tea-Iced Lemon Tea

This is another refreshing drink perfect for this season. Though I am not very fond of it,  It can be easily made at home.Today let us see how to make iced lemon tea following our easy recipe.

Ingredients needed 

Lemon – 1
Tea powder -1 tsp or tea bag -1
Ice cold water – 2 cups
Ice cubes – 2-3
Sugar or honey to taste
Mint leaves – 3-4 leaves for garnishing (optional)

Method 

Bring half cup of water to rolling boil. Switch off and add 1 tea bag/1 tsp tea powder.
Let it steep for 10 minutes. Discard the tea bags or strain the tea and allow it to cool.
Add juice of 1 lemon and sugar. Stir well for the sugar to dissolve.
Then add 2 cups of cold water.
Refrigerate until chilled. Add ice cubes before serving
You can increase or decrease the ingredients according to your taste.

Note – I have garnished with a few mint leaves just to make it visually appealing.

Blackcurrant Bracer

A rich, mouth-watering infusion of juicy blackcurrant capturing the sweet tang of lusciously plump blackcurrant berries, hibiscus, and rose hips.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup concentrate of Black Currant Infusion
  • ¾ cup pineapple juice/sugar syrup (optional as per taste)
  • 3 or 4 (or as desired) Pineapple Chunks

 How to make it:

Add 2 bags of Typhoo Black Currant Bracer in a cup of hot water and infuse for 10 minutes. Pour ¼ cup of Typhoo Black Currant concentrate in a tall glass filled with ice. Add the pineapple juice and sugar syrup, stir well. Add the pineapple chunks. Serve chilled.
